Kirk was 15 years old when he witnessed his Dad be confined to a wheelchair due to an MS Diagnosis where he was given care by nurses in his home. 10 years later, driven by the entrepreneurial spirit and desire to make an impact, Kirk developed an M&A strategy and brought together a team to execute a new vision of healthcare that addresses problematic trends and provides excellent returns.
As the Founder of New Health Investment Group, Kirk has proven an ability to source, structure, and secure cross-border deals under LOI in excess of $150 million. He has sourced investors, advisors, operators, top tier diligence providers, and raised debt and equity funding.
Prior to New Health, Kirk analyzed early-stage science and technology-based startup organizations at Creative Destruction Lab, started and exited 2 businesses in the private event space, and was involved in scaling a startup production facility by 740% in 3.5 months. As a hockey player, Kirk won several championships including the Sutter Cup Championship (U16AAA), Provincial Championship (U16AAA), Telus Cup National Championship (U18AAA), and played in the Western Hockey League for the Moose Jaw Warriors and Calgary Hitmen.
