Colgate
Jason Colgate is best known as a seasoned healthcare dealmaker and growth operator. He has been a CEO/COO and Private Equity Investor with more than 20 years of experience at Fortune 50 to lower middle market companies and in private equity funds. Jason has managed large cross functional teams, including C-Suites/Presidents, PE/M&A deal teams, and been responsible for scaling/exiting large P&Ls. He has also optimized portfolios of companies, saved a $150M Revenue and Inc. 200 business from bankruptcy, and has consistently driven 7-8 figure revenue and EBITDA increases through strategic planning, organizational transformation, inorganic/organic growth, operational and sales enhancement, digital marketing, and innovation.
During his time at Global Growth Holdings, Jason was Founding Partner of the Growth Equity Fund and Managing Director of the Buyout team that executed on 30+ investments and ~$1 billion in acquisitions annually for a diverse umbrella of portfolios consisting of over 150 independent business units with $26 billion in assets. Before Global Growth Holdings, Jason had experience in private equity, corporate development, investment banking, and operating roles across versatile markets from ventures to Fortune 50 businesses to boutique investment firms, including Bourne Capital Partners, Quintiles, Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation and Boston Scientific.
Jason earned his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler as well as a BM for Cello Performance at Vanderbilt University under the Dinah Shore Scholarship. Jason currently serves as a Board Member for UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and is an Advisor for the IBM/CVF/Rev Tech Labs Accelerator & Fund in the FinTech & HCIT sectors. Jason has been a frequent guest speaker at universities as well as industry conferences on healthcare and Investing/M&A.
